Really like the wifi feeder, I don’t really have anything to state that a big negative. I have 4 of these feeders and it’s pain have to schedule one by one IF I decide to add OR remove an event. I wish you could set a schedule then pick the feeders that will be on that schedule. Not sure how many people have multiple cats and feeders but it works well with my four cats to be fed at the same time. ROJECO, please consider changing how feed schedules work for us that have multiple units. THANKS!

I spent hours scouring the internet and product reviews to find this automatic feeder. My 6 pound cat with kidney disease needs very small portions, and a regular schedule or she overeats and vomits. The number of meals you can schedule and small portion size is perfect for her needs. Assembly and setting up a meal schedule in the app couldn’t be easier. I can’t recommend this enough.

We got the Rojeco automatic feeder for its Wifi capability. We had been using a basic programmable feeder for our cat for almost seven years, but it did not have any wifi capability. We liked the option to be able to drop some dry food for our cat when we are away from home and running late for his normal dinner time (which is wet food). And our cat is used to getting his breakfast and lunch from a feeder.Our cat quickly adapted to this new feeder. We used the app to program in his breakfast and lunch. Both feedings dropped right on schedule and our kitty wolfed down the 2-units serving of food it provided. He now waits for lunch next to his new feeder instead of his old feeder!PROS:(1) Once connected to wifi, the connection seems stable, even when we unplugged the feeder and moved it to a different outlet.(2) The app provides confirmation of each food drop and amount given as well as a button to push for a “Quick” food drop outside the scheduled feedings.(3) The bowl is fully open so all of the food that drops is easily accessible to our cat without him having to “paw” for any hidden morsels.(4) You are given options for serving sizes (“portions”) which range from programming for a 1-portion meal of food (about a tablespoon of small size kibbles) up to a 50-portion meal! We give our cat a 2-portion sized meal (which is somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 cup of small kibbles). I have to imagine that the 50-portion size just keeps throwing out food until the feeder is empty! Ha ha.CONS:(1) The initial setup for getting the Wifi connected was very difficult, getting the wifi to connect to the feeder took over an hour for my partner to figure out and he’s an IT guy. There are multiple settings in your phone’s Bluetooth categories that need to be correct because the feeder needs a Bluetooth connection before it can make the initial wifi connection. Also, make sure the router to which the feeder is connected is a 2.4ghz network because the feeder doesn’t support 5ghz. We have both Android and iOS devices and it connected a lot easier to the Android than to the iOS.We recommend this wifi feeder for keeping your kitty or dog feedings on a set schedule and allowing you piece of mind even when you can’t be home to give them a meal. It works well once set up and is easy to clean and the app seems well designed and useful.

My cats are a couple of scarf’n’barfers when it comes to dry food. I work long hours and don’t usually have the time to portion out multiple feedings. This automatic feeder has worked pretty well for me.The top locks by simply pushing the lid firmly shut. There is an easy release button on the back that my cats have not yet been able to solve. I appreciate that even when jostled the feeder holds firm to its contents within.Setup was relatively easy, though there are a few extra hoops to jump through versus other smart devices I’ve set up in the house. I found it rather annoying that even though the smart device program used by this feeder (Rojeco) seems to be a mirror of Tuya Smart, I was unable to set it up using Tuya which several of my smart devices already use. I would really prefer if all of my smart devices were able to link up on a single app, but alas I’ve got to use 4 different apps to control them all. Admittedly, this might be my own shortcoming, however the product definitely pushes the use of its own proprietary app.I appreciate the battery backup to ensure that the feeder will function even if there is a short power loss. I also appreciate that I can check the feeding history to make sure the scheduled feedings occurred while away.I do wish that I was able to set the time myself. I have two different automatic feeders and despite both being set to the same time zone, there seems to be a 10-15 second difference between feedings set at the same time. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to account for this desync and it can cause some unnecessary strife between my two cats who are fed in two different rooms. My young male cat is a lot more crafty and voracious than my older lady and can feasibly scarf down the entirety of one feeding and still make it to the other feeder in time to double up on the same scheduled feeding.Despite my minor gripes, I have been pleased with the unit overall.1/25/23 Edit: My cat was able to start scamming the system by reach his paw up in the hole food is dispensed through. I devised what I thought was a clever way to counter his efforts. I took a short portion of plastic drain spout from the local big box hardware store and trimmed a piece down to about 4 inches in length. Then I bisected that piece lengthwise to make a shallow ‘U’ shape – about 0.75″ in depth. I used superglue and baking soda to firmly adhere that shallow U over the food dispensing hole, which leaves enough space for the food to dispense without issue but prevents him from being able to shove his paw up in there.Unfortunately, it would seem I came up with my solution too late because upon further inspection he was already successful in ripping off 4 out of 6 of the food pusher flaps. So now it doesn’t dispense with any sort of regularity. I had to dock another star for this, taking it down to 3 at best. If your cat isn’t as clever and food motivated as mine was, then it may very well not be an issue. But for me the feeder was rendered useless by one motivated cat. I don’t really care to spend $50+ for a new one, so I’m going to see if I can design and 3D print a replacement piece. I’m not very good at CAD software though, so it might take me a while.Rojeco, feel free to use my design as inspiration for a hack-proof feeder solution. But if you do, please send me a replacement part for the bottom-most rotary feeder paddle.

Although initial setup was a bit bumpy, i finally got it to work and it does a great job, very easy to define portion size, and schedule. I’m pretty happy with my purchase.

This an automatic cat feeder which connects to wifi. What this means is that you can do manual feedings (from anywhere) and set a feeding schedule using the Smartlife phone app. This is a lot more convenient than non-wifi models where you set schedules by pressing buttons on the feeder itself. I always found it a pain to bend down to do that, or to lift the heavy fully loaded feeder up so I can see the screen.The Smartlife app is easy to install and use. All features work well except it doesn’t have Alexa integration. I wonder why. It would be nice to be able to say into an Alexa speaker, “Alexa, feed my cat”, and have it spit out a portion. Right now, you need your smartphone handy to do a manual feed. Hopefully Alexa integration will be added with a future firmware update.The lid seems to lock securely. I don’t see any seal so I don’t think it is airtight like a Tupperware so there may be a concern about food remaining fresh. Truth be told, I haven’t found one where the lid seals. Maybe there is a reason for that, I don’t know.There is no viewing window to view the food level which is a bit of a negative but there is a low food indicator that will alert you both on the feeder and the app.Some other feeders stop spitting out food when it detects an overflow. This unit doesn’t appear to have this useful feature which can prevent a mess in case the animal passes on a couple of meals due to a tummy upset (a very common occurrence).It has a backup battery system in case the power goes out which is pretty much standard with these feeders. What’s nice is that it uses common AA batteries rather than uncommon D batteries that other feeders use.Portion control is better than other feeders. One portion is pretty small which is what I want. With another feeder that I have, one portion is too much for my cat. Seems like it would encourage him to overeat.

I love how I can be at work or camping and give the cats their daily meal, and treats throughout the day. My cats literally sit by it waiting for some kibble to come out. It’s not only to feed your cats, but a comedy tool as well. I highly recommend this automatic cat feeder, and I’m sure it would work for small dogs too.

I recently purchased an automatic cat feeder for my feline friend, and I must say it has been an absolute game-changer in terms of convenience and reliability. This feeder allows for very small portions fed numerous times per day. I have a cat that gets sick from eating her food too fast and with this feeder I am able to feed her a very small amout numerous times per day. It is very easy to program and the program can be changed quickly and easily. You are also able to add food outside of the programmed schedule either with the app or on the feeder itself.

The cost is good.

 Whenever I pick up my phone, my pups eyes light up. She learned quite quickly that phone equals food. No phone, no food. This does make feeding time a bit more mysterious for her and adds a tech twist that makes it more interesting for me too.It was easy to download the app on my iPhone and connect the feeder to my wifi network. So far we have not set up a feeding schedule with the app, though it looks simple to do. I guess we still enjoy the thrill of pushing a button and watching our pup’s excitement. We have only used the feeder on it’s manual setting. There are numbers from 1 – 60 that indicate the serving size. It seems to actually be the number of seconds that the feeder motor runs. Level 5 means the motor turns to release food for 5 seconds. As the motor turns, the food comes out a shaft and clangs into the stainless steel food bowl. Our pup usually waits until the motor stops to start digging in. We are new to having a house pup and are still trying to figure out how much we should be feeding her.The hopper on the feeder holds a full 10 pound bag of dog food with a little room to spare. It makes sense to only buy our food in these 10 pound bags to that we don’t have half full bags sitting around attracting mice or whatever. The hopper has a rubber gasket on the lid that seals very well. And a little push button latch to make sure no one gets any big ideas. I believe that the opening at the bottom also seals when the motor comes to a stop. We have had zero problems with this feeder so far. No food jams. No software glitches. No dogs hacking into the system.This is a top quality product for sure. The app is well laid out and easy to use. It did update the firmware with no issues. The hopper and the dish are made quite well. Highly recommended.
